you can turn it off. I have mine turned off because I found it most irritating
and like you say getting in my way. I can't recall how I turned it off I think
it was something I did physically but I'm sure someone else will tell you how
to do this.

3 out of 3 bars, and the computer is showing that it is connected to the
proper network. But when I try to load Safari, or connect to Express VPN, the
VPN gets as far as 35% and stops. Then, if I try to do a restart, it doesn’t
fix the issue. Safari will say web content instead of loading my home page.
So the only way to fix it is if I shut the computer completely down, and
