Please try and start a new thread so you don't hijack this one. It will confuse the archives and probably the search functions if any on this list.

Blessings and happy Monday.

Open the voiceover utility with voiceover f8
Navigate to the navigation section in the list view.
Tab until you hear “”mouse pointer.
You will have to wait a bit before hearing that.
Press down arrow and check “followers voice over curser” by hitting enter.
I figured that out about 3 days after getting my mac. That was in 2010.

Hope that helps a bit.

Hi: again, I'm new to this list, but how do you set the voiceover cursor to just follow the mouse cursor? Would you mind taking me through the steps? I know I go to voiceover utility with vo-f8, but I'm having trouble opening the choices.

Thank you.

I think that's how I have it as well. I honestly cannot remember right now.

I always tell the voiceover cursor to just follow the mouse cursor. That way, the trackpad won’t get in my way.

you can turn it off. I have mine turned off because I found it most irritating and like you say getting in my way. I can't recall how I turned it off I think it was something I did physically but I'm sure someone else will tell you how to do this.

No, you cannot, at least not to my knowledge. I just get used to it. You can though enable something where if you hit, I think its command or option it will disable use of the mouse pad sort of, but I have not found that too reliable. I’ve been using a mac for about 11 years now and am so used to the mouse pad it’s no big anymore.

Am I able to disable the mouse pad on this machine. It seems to be getting in my way in trying to learn the MacBook Air?
Thank you.

Hello all,
I have had a strange issue with my Wifi connection the past few days. I don’t remember this ever happening before. My network is showing a full connection, 3 out of 3 bars, and the computer is showing that it is connected to the proper network. But when I try to load Safari, or connect to Express VPN, the VPN gets as far as 35% and stops. Then, if I try to do a restart, it doesn’t fix the issue. Safari will say web content instead of loading my home page. So the only way to fix it is if I shut the computer completely down, and start up again. This happens especially if I leave the computer idle for quite some time. Any thoughts or ideas on what could be causing the issue?
Thanks,
