Yes I tested myself as well and looks like Ethernet is the way to go, unless of 
course you have a bootable drive like I do.

Vo m twice crashes voice over in the recovery consoul. I tried this myself and 
had a friend do it.  Try it as well. Boot in to recovery ode then hit vo m 
twice.  You will see what i mean.

If you have access to a router, just connect Ethernet cable to it but if not, 
try ctrl option M twice to see if that works.
