[mac4theblind] Two questions about applications

Hi all,
I know I read this before but can't find it at all now.
Two questions.
If I open an application and it says that no windows are open, how do I get it
to open?
Also, how do I put open applications into the doc?
I'm sorry I know I saw this before but can't find it.
On another note, I created a spread sheet in numbers and like it better than
the one I managed to transfer from excel.
I do like how voiceover reads for the spread sheets.
