I'm not sure why drop down menus would just be opening automatically. I am
not a web designer, so I can't speak with any knowledge as to ways that might
help deal with the situation. Are you running the latest updates on your Mac
and updated to Safari 12?

Hi List,
I encountered a website which made recent changes resulting in the
automatic opening of drop down window options when the VO cursor passes it.
With VO verbosity set at medium, each of these also voiced its level and
every “end of list”. I have contacted the investment company and they have
been very responsive to my issues. I think, though, this idea of having a
mouse hover activate drop down menus is not unique to them and we may all see
it on other websites. I just wonder if there is any other VO setting which
might make this new environment easier to live with other than reducing VO
verbosity to Low.
I have seen this behavior in amazon.com <http://amazon.com/>. When opening an
item page, it automatically expands the Review information in a window which
has to be closed to get to the item data. But one must press the close
button and immediately move the cursor to the right or the Review data opens
again. This, too, is the hover issue, I think.
I appreciate any suggestions.
