I did say this case.  AS for metal scratching, I’ve had iOS devices with metal 
backing exposed and had no problems with scratching even when run over.

If you are worried about scratching metal, get a 5 c.

No it's not, the 5S should not be kept with out a case under any circumstances. 
 The metal is extremely prone to scratching and the phone in general is quite 
delicate.  Keeping the phone with out a case is a perfect way to kill resale 
value and almost certainly will yield damage.
