OK, so, with all of that said, have you considered that you are dealing with a system specific or situational specific standpoint? In other words, to rant about the problems you are having and then to generalize them as being problems with the Mac is kind of ridiculous when others are not necessarily experiencing the same issues. In fact, to me, if I was the only one having said issues, I'd wonder if there is something going on with my system itself Long Before I'd start blaming Apple, the Mac or VoiceOver. Maybe, you have a setting you have inadvertently changed. Maybe, it's permissions problems that are acting up. You might have to do a disk repair or even a OS reinstallation. Contacting Apple support and getting a senior advisor on the line might be a great approach to have them witness what you are experiencing. I have not experienced the kinds of things you are reporting personally. Am I saying you are imagining things or making them up? Of course not. People have offered solutions and have tried to assist. That's all we can do. If you think Windows is a better alternative, good luck. I love when people make statements like that because they then spend a few days back in Windows and remember why they left that platform in the first place. Take it from someone who has to use Windows for a teaching contract. The Mac is a pleasure compared to dealing with the nonsense that many basic tasks in Windows requires. For example, connecting a Windows laptop to a wireless network was an olympic event that would have taken me five seconds to accomplish with my Mac. How do I know this? Well, I had my Mac Book Pro with me at the job site, and it took me ... five seconds to join the network it took about a half hour of futzing on the Windows machine to accomplish. It was most amusing to have the Windows IT guy clearly being tortured by the fact my Mac got on his network with a few keystrokes and he couldn't figure out why the Windows Laptop wasn't doing it at first.
