If this is a new system out of the box, first try resetting VoiceOver
preferences in the VO Utility from the File Menu. I have seen this actually
fix some odd behavior. It could very well be a Vo setting. It's not a cure
all, but any step towards solving a problem could be the ultimate solution.

Obviously, what you are experiencing should nt be happening. So, again,
we need to look at the system itself and find out what specifically is causing
the behavior. If you like, please feel free to contact me off list and we can
talk about solutions on the phone or by Skype.

Actually, in the story I told you, it was a Windows problem. All of the
systems were having problems on that particular network. I believe it was how
the IT guy set up the network as he struck me as one of those guys who knows a
little about a lot, and, thus, is dangerous to others. I just found it amusing
that my Mac got on the network by just connecting and entering the pass key.
On the Windows laptop, at first, it couldn't see the network and then, when it
did, the pass key was not allowing the system to join the network. It was the
oddest thing.
