Hi all welders and non-welders!

About 6 years ago I bought a used AC/DC TIG (WIG) welding machine. The price
was at about 700 Euro. A new one is at about 3000...... .
AC/DC means, that you can weld steel and stainless steel with direct current
(DC) and aluminum with alternating current (AC).
The big advantage of the TIG machine compared to MIG/MAG machines is that you
don't have to add always material. It's possible to just melt two parts
together.
For me it was worth to buy this machine, I'm very happy with it.
I'm not a friend of brazing when no pipe couplings (=capillary socket ??) are
used. With brazing you spend a lot of time to make fit two parts together. With
welding you can easy fill up gaps of 2mm!

Happy building!

Marc
