Hi List,
I'm Indi.
I'd love to have a portable device too, just for writing, with no touch
screen, thanks, no whirring fan, please, no bottom so hot it scorches my
lap, no whizzing hard drive eating up battery life.
I once had a Tosheba T-1000 on dos that ran 3 or 4 weeks, not hours, on
a battery charge.
Well, it weighed 7 pounds, small for its era, and then I needed to
velcro a speech synthesizer onto its case, since I can't see the screen.
If raspberry Pi will do it, I'd give it no screen at all, and run Vinus,
the Linux build that has its own talking screenreader built in.
What's the wattage drain on the Raspberry Pi anyway.
Could I get dozens of hours of battery life if I velcroed the
motherboard plus batteries onto the under edge of this Logitech USB
keyboard?
Thanks,
Indi
