I am running the 2016-02-01-raspbian-jessie-with-console-speech distro
on mi Pi2B. I would like to run a ham radio program called “the link
box” on mi pi. The program needs to communicate whit a serial to usb
cart(CP210x
) The problem is that this distro cannot work properly whit this tool.
When giving lsusb, it seems that the hardware is detected. When given ls
//dev/tty* should be the bi the CP210x generated file “ttyUSB0” But this
happens not.(sea below)
Tried a lot and finally I installed the newest
distro(2017-03-10-raspbian-jessie-lite-mate-usbaudio) of raspbeeryVI on
mi Pi. After just install and plugged the CP210x on, by typing ls
//dev/tty* I see a file whit the name ttyUSB0 is being shown. Ok, that
looks fine. So give the pi the needed commands. Did an update and after
that an upgrade. It take a very long time and it looks that it never is
coming to an end. It works the whole night and did not finish. Ok, maybe
something wrong whit the install. Installing at new at the sd cart.
Again the same procedure but after upgrade again a never ending story.
What to do mike? Anny suggestions? Is it possible anyway to let it work
in the 2016 distro and how should I do this? What to do to get a right
finishing and working 2017 distro? Hope to here soon from you. Thanks
