Hello Glenn,

I'm tearing my hair out here.  I thought maybe the essid was the name of 
my AP, I've called mine MIKES_AP.

I think it is sort of working because when I do this:

sudo iwconfig wlan0

I get reports of 100% signal strength etc but it never appears on my 
router and I can't SSH to it if I pull out the network cable.

I am amazed at the small size of these things.  I'm glad they are going 
to stay plugged into the Raspis because otherwise I'd lose them.  The 
business end is smaller than the bit that plugs in.
