My experience both on this list and the other Linux-related mailing
lists I'm on is that there tends to be a burst of activity whenever a
list member has a question to ask the list or announces a public
update to a project that might interest the list, followed by extended
periods of silence. If anything, the surge of activity a week or so
ago was unusually long in duration and unusually high in post volume,
but don't let the list's silence deter you from asking questions when
they come up or sharing the latest developments in your pet project.
