Mewtamer. Very interesting name. Just curious is that your oh never mind LOL.
Anyway I am so glad I reread your email again. Now that is a good question
actually.
I forgot the specs on the mini pc. But I can get it out easily enough and play
with it. In fact, I was thinking of doing that anyway to see how bad this
espeakup not silencing really is.
And yes trying fenrir too.
Having said that however. The pi 3 b plus is or seems to be running faster than
the mini pc. But considering reviving the mini pc from hybernation mode to use
it for gaming possibly.
That having been said. I do like the fact that espeakup does not crash on the
pi here wereas it did crash on debian.
BTW. I am debian user I think all the way. I don't know what it is exactly. I
used to love arch linux. But debian although its stable is a bit behind the
times. It does work and tends to be more flexible for me anyway.
Oh in regards to the sound card. On the mini pc. For the longest time I tried
to get the hdmi sound disabled. Because it was or seemed to be interfering with
the actual sound card.
Finally I realized the best thing to do was simply to leave it alone and let
the audio for various devices go where it liked. Problem solved.
But the odd thing is sometimes the sound goes through the hdmi on the mini pc
and sometimes it goes through the speakers. What I like about the pi is so far
it always goes through the hdmi.
I have an ensignia fire tv edition tv that is hooked up too. And I control the
volume via telling the echo to turn the fire tv volume up or down a certain
percentage.
Jessica
But rambling again sigh.
What kind of specs does the miniPC have?
I haven't used Fenrir myself, but I know it's written in Python and so
might be taking a performance hit with the limited resources of the Pi
3, especially if the miniPC has much better specs than the Pi.
