[tn-bird] Dean's bugs

Hi Dean, and others,
I passed on the beetle question to Paul Super, formerly of Tremont
and now working for Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the
"Other" side (North Carolina - but he's still a nice guy!) and he
replied:
What they might be is a lightningbug of the genus Ludidota
which has a poorly developed light organ. Check out page 189 in the
Peterson Field Guide to Beetles and see if there's a match.
