Today at Dyson Ditch 100+ White Pelicans were present taking refuge/resting. (I lost count at 104) We have seen a few there, between 3 & 10, for the past few weeks but over 100 is unusual for Dyson Ditch. The most we've counted in years past is 52. Also several hundred geese and ducks have arrived, and an occasional GB Heron noted. No activity was seen at the Eagle Pass or Pardue Pond eagle nests...yet.. Best viewing is from the Cumberland Rive Bicentennial Trail via the Eagle Pass trail head off of Chapmansboro Rd.
