Yesterday afternoon--Friday June 28 at 5:58 p.m.--I observed an adult Peregrine Falcon flying over the ash pond (the pond with the dredging boat in it) at Kingston Steam Plant in Roane County, TN. The Peregrine was only a couple hundred yards away and was clearly visible in the late afternoon sun at that range. The bird flew from the ash pond to the ridge to the southeast. Two Osprey also were flying in the vicinity.
