Yesterday's NTOS trip to Memphis got off to a rocky start due to an accident that shut down I-40 west. We were delayed two hours. After arriving, we met Jeff Wilson, Mark Greene and Mike Todd who led us to all the birds they had scouted out. Thanks guys. We all had great looks at many shorebirds of at least ten species. Several members got life birds. After a late bar-b-que lunch our group split; seven members elected to return to Nashville and two returned to the pits for some, " You know what-This late afternoon light is PERFECT," birding. Another memorable birding day in Tennessee. Gary Casey Kingston Springs, Tn. Talk and walk softly, carry a big scope. =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Topographical Maps located at http://topozone.com/find.asp * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Tennessee Ornithological Society web site at http://www.tnbirds.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net Owner: Wallace Coffey, Bristol, TN jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx (423) 764-3958 =========================================================
