This Friday morning I walked from the west parking lot to Long Bridge
and back. Migrating birds were still generally hard to come by although
I saw a couple ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKs and several SWAINSON'S THRUSHes.
However, just before bench 20 and Long Bridge I found a hybrid
BLUE-WINGED x GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER feeding on the underside of the
overhanging canopy. It was all gray on the back and tail and had
white wing bars, but had a yellow cap and dark line through the eye.
It was grayish white in the throat but light yellow on the upper breast
and grayish white toward the tail.

site shows a bird in nearly identical plumage.
