After returning from a birding trip with other Tennessee birders, I was able to
make it out to the greenway in my neighborhood where Abra first identified this
bird. Luckily it was still around and very active, but I was able to grab a
couple documentation shots for this very interesting winter record. I believe
we are blowing away our total winter warbler species record count for Tennessee
this year.
Great job to Abra for identifying the bird and getting the word out 😊

Subject: [TN-Bird] Suspected black-and-white warbler at Riverwalk/Harpeth River
I believe I saw a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER while walking today (Feb 10) along
the Harpeth river on the Riverwalk Greenway in Davidson co. The bird was seen
around noon, on the right side of the trail behind about the 4th house on
Harpeth Run Dr. I had not brought my camera due to the rain, but I got good
looks at a very active warbler foraging on tree trunks that had a black back
with white steaks and a white belly with black streaks. When I returned with my
camera I could not relocate the bird.
I am still very new to birding and would love for someone to be able to confirm
this bird. I'm hoping to look for it again later this week.
