Hi Everyone,

The 4.5 V DC adapter I was looking for was to power an LED lamp.

I wanted to put a lamp on a shelf that is only nine inches down from the
ceiling in my downstairs washroom. I wanted a lamp that would run cool so as
not to scorch the ceiling. When I saw LED lamps selling for $5.99 at the local
hardware store, I thought I'd give one a try. Only problem was that the AC
adapter was not included. :[

I initially set it up with a universal adapter. It's a large transformer able
to supply 1000ma with a switch for several different voltages, another switch
for polarity and a cord with six different connectors on the end. This worked
ok but it was somewhat unsightly.

It ends up that a coworker found a 4.5 volt adapter for me, but it was spec'd
at only 200ma. The price was right so I thought it couldn't hurt to try it. The
lamp has 20 LEDs in it and it appears all 20 glow just as bright as with the
universal adapter. Beauty! I have the new adapter plugged into a switched wall
outlet and it's working great! Looks tidy, too.

I'd like to thank everyone who responded and I promise I'll keep future
postings more related to Commodore.

Thanks again,

Karl Hildon
