Derek:
The current Newsletter was in the hands of those who send it out mid-July.  
That newsletter mentions the fact of an up-coming AGM on page one (President's 
report).
As for followup questions and answers on procedure, I believe that this forum 
has become the de-facto alternative to quarterly newsletters. 
By-laws are always available at most any meeting, and indeed, in May or June 
were specifically provided to those present.

  I am a member and I was not notified in advance of the meeting. Nor was I 
informed in advance of anyone wishing to run or whether or not the current 
board was going to run again etc.

  In addition I was not given any by-laws or any information about how the 
group was run etc etc.
