Hi David,
Both controller cards have the hard drive attached to them.
One is a Commodore A2091 with 2MB of memory. Second one is GVP Series
II (2000 HC+8 model) also with 2MB of ram onboard.
I guess the load on the bus might be too much for both cards to run on
the motherboard?

How much memory is on each disk controller? There is only 8MB of
Zorro II expension space, so this may cause you grief. Are the disks
mounted on the cards themselves or in the drive bays? If the former,
I'm not sure of the power situation (I don't have Zorro power specs
handy).

I imagine it should be fine, although you might want to use HDToolBox
or whatever to ensure that the device names don't collide.
