  RAM sounds like it should be OK, then, unless the designers botched
their designs pretty thoroughly.

  The only potential issue is power, and we're talking about 15 years since
I last looked at these specs.  You could certainly move one of the disks
to a drive bay and use a longer cable; that sounds fine.
