Justin is listed as running 6 BBS's between 1989 and 1995 on this 705 area code site: http://bbslist.textfiles.com/705/oldschool.html. He would have been very young (I'm guessing about 9 years old) if he ran a BBS in 1989, but it's possible. RemoteAccess and Renegade were pretty popular BBS software packages in the Barrie and surrounding area. Interestingly Remote Access only first came out in 1989, which means that Justin would have been one of the first adopters or the list is fudged. Renegade BBS software didn't come out until later. I called most of the bulletin boards in the Barrie area from 1983 until about 1990 and I don't remember seeing the Bulletin board names that are mentioned for Justin until around 1994 when I returned to the Barrie area. The Bulletin Boards from the list I clearly remember are: The Leading Edge BBS Terminal Velocity BBS The Amiga Zone BBS Dreamhouse The Dark Side Of The Moon DogStar (I think we use to get Fidonet mail from them) I'm surprised that the BBS Documentary put so little emphasis on the software, networking, and doors. It was all about the people.
