This is probably old news to local residents, but I didn't find this roost site
logged at www.chimneyswifts.org so I thought I'd share:
There is a Chimney Swift roost, of several hundred birds, along the Olde Towne
Portsmouth waterfront, just north of High Street. They are roosting in the
small square chimney (just below the angled spiral antenna) at 431 Crawford St
(Federal Building).
It was quite a spectacle last night, with the birds swirling then being
"sucked" into the chimney as night fell.
