Hello all,
We had a good "spur of the moment" trip to Chincoteague this past
Sunday and Monday. Unfortunately, we had to leave mid-afternoon on
Monday and did not get a chance for a second visit to the Wildlife
Loop and the possibility of seeing the Garganey.
If we only saw something along the Wash Flats service road during the
Chincoteague Natural History Association trip it is noted as WF.
The refuge and surrounding area did not appear to suffer any ill
effects from Hurricane Earl. The refuge was closed Friday but was
back in full operation as of 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4.
