Hi all.
Took a quick trip to Crewe's channel in Henrico county this morning. Had close
looks at a Tricolored heron and juvie White ibis...both dwarfed by the dozen or
so Great egrets with them. Also close in were several Solitary sandpipers and a
single Pectoral sandpiper. An adult Bald eagle flew in and briefly perched on a
snag over the channel...followed by a Belted kingfisher...then several Purple
martins...all in that same lone snag.
