This is the first posting from The Middle Peninsula Bird Club and,
apparently, the first posting on eBird for The Deltaville Maritime Museum,
Middlesex Co. We birded there on Saturday and recorded 36 species.
Highlights included a Blue-headed Virio and 3 Pileated Woodpeckers. Three
check lists have been entered and include the attached list plus 2 Black
Duck, 3 Tree Swallows, 4 Goldfinch,6 European Starlings, 1 Herring Gull and
1 American Robin. All three check lists can be accessed from the eBird
website.
The 30 acre museum grounds and adjacent Holly Point Nature Park are open
year round dawn to dusk. Definitely worth a birding stop.
