I went to visit my parents yesterday and spent some time outside by the creek. The tide was right and there was plenty of activity.
Highlights included:
Yellow crowned night heron - 1
Great Blue Heron - 2
White egrets - 3
Killdeer - 4
Osprey - 4
Turkey vultures - 4
Kingfisher - 1

I had seen the YCNH when it flew by, but was behind some trees and didn't get a picture. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at my picture of the white egret and it was in the foregroung..I had missed it completely when I was watching the egret.

The osprey have several nests in the area and were active while I was there. I was quite pleased with the photos I got of them.

(the pictures at the end of the album are mostly of deer from Yorktown that we went to see later in the day)
