This morning I saw a flock of several hundred Common Grackles flying
south near George Mason University. I only mention this because this fall
in my travels around northern VA and across the Potomac in Montgomery Co, MD
I haven't seen any which strikes me as unusual. During the snow of Dec 5-6
I did have 10 at my feeders.
The former roosting site ( a bamboo thicket) in the center of town was
cut down recently.
