Fall migration took a tick upward in my yard this Saturday.  I  had 8
BALTIMORE ORIOLES bathing at one point, plus many Robins, Grackles,  Blue Jays,
and
House Finches taking advantage of the bird pools  because of the current dry
spell.  Four species of Warblers (CANADA,  CHESTNUT-SIDED, REDSTART, and
BLACK-AND-WHITE) were also present, mainly  attracted to the leaf mister.

A bumper crop of Cardinal Flower has brought in several RUBY-THROATED
HUMMINGBIRDS.

Summer residents, WOOD THRUSH, RED-EYED VIREO, CHIPPING SPARROW, and
CATBIRD, also put an appearance today, along with the usual year round
residents.
