Weather:
Bright overcast conditions were seen today with sunny breaks during the
middle portions of the day. Heavier cloud cover moved into the area ahead
of the rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Winds were light to moderate
varying from east to east-northeast.
Raptor Observations:
A steady movement was seen right from the beginning of the day today,
dropping off sharply in mid afternoon. Sharpies dominated the flight and by
day's end had their largest movement of the fall. Harriers again had a
decent flight and a nice spurt of Ospreys was seen in the afternoon.
Non-raptor Observations:
Today marked the first large movement of Robins, numbering conservatively
in the 8-10 thousand ballpark.
Several small groups of Snow Geese were also noted.
