Weather:
Chilly morning starting at 6.0C with a high of 15.5C. Brisk winds from the
WNW (although the upper level clouds were actually moving in from the
east). No clouds until 10 am when clouds began moving in and becoming
overcast by 11am when the temp. began falling from 15.5C to 11.0C by 1pm.
Humidity 65>48%.
Raptor Observations:
The first couple of hours were very productive with the following 46
raptors observed by 9am: 1 adult male Northern Goshawk, 3 Peregrine
Falcons, 3 Merlins, 27 Sharp-Shinned, 8 Coopers, 1 Red Shouldered, 2
Red-Tailed, and 1 Kestrel. An adult Bald Eagle at 10am. A good showing of
Coopers Hawks today. Only 3 raptors observed in the last hour.
Non-raptor Observations:
8 Ravens.A kettle of 40 Black Vultures.
60 Cedar Waxwings.50 Monarchs.
