Visitors:
20 Road Scholar hikers did the Virginia leg of their tristate Appalachian
Trail hike south from our gap today.
Weather:
Hot and muggy. Humid and hazy. Temps 28.6 C to 31 C. Wind west 3.5 mph down
to 0 in the afternoon. Cumulus clouds built in after 11 am. A few sprinkles
in the noon hour. Milky hazy air made for low visibility.
Raptor Observations:
Lots of meandering Vultures.
Non-raptor Observations:
Stink bugs began pouring out of the woods behind us after noon when the
temps hit 30. Three Monarch butterflies.
