The change of seasons has been increasingly evident during the past few weeks,
but never so startling as on today's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk.
There were 13 birders on this morning's walk, and we spotted 44 species. Today
was the first seasonal sightings on the Monday walk of Dark-eyed Junco,
Red-breasted Nuthatch, Green-winged Teal, and White-crowned Sparrow.
Additionally, the group watched a huge flock of Red-winged Blackbirds and
growing numbers of sparrow species. Ornithologicaly, perhaps winter is here.
