The Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk drew 13 birders this morning, and
we
tallied 43 species. We welcomed guests from Merritt Island, Florida, and
Brigham Young University. Highlights this morning included our fishing Osprey
who has entertained us in the recent past with his unerring accuracy; a couple
of black Ducks; a male Eastern Bluebird with fresh azure plumage that sparkled
in the sunlight; and the flock of Green Herons who fly around the central
wetlands in a 'dawn patrol' formation.
