A fairly spectacular day was experienced by the 13 birders on this morning's
Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk, as we tallied 52 species. Highlights
included a Veery, 5 Soras darting in and out of the cattails, and a bonanza of
shorebirds. We even had Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs posing side-by-side for
easy comparisons. The Osprey came by for a snack, and 5 Warbler species were
fairly easily seen. It was a beautiful morning with some great birding.
