This morning's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk was led by Steve and
Arlene who graciously took over while I was away.  Many thanks to them for this
fine report:

Eight birders walked this beautiful, sunny  morning along the shaded Cedar
Trail to the observation tour.    Since the boardwalk loop was closed due to
construction to replace the  17-year-old boardwalk, the count reflects the
absence of birds usually  observed there such as eastern phoebes and indigo
buntings.  Highlight  of the morning was a magnificent view of a yellow-billed
cuckoo who stayed  perched for several minutes.
