Tom Miller is filing today's report for Harry Glasgow.
Today, May 28, 2012, the weather started mild, and moved on to very warm. A
group of 25 or more birders enjoyed a walk through the Meadows and were
rewarded with a nice group of birds. It was a great morning capped off with
brunch hosted by the Pringles. Thanks to them and to those who joined the
group for this Memorial Day.

The Monday Morning Birdwalk has been a weekly event at Huntley Meadows since
1985. It takes place every week, rain or shine, at 7AM (8AM during November,
December, January and February), is free of charge, requires no reservation,
and is open to all. Birders meet in the parkiung lot at the Park's entrance
at 3701 Lockheed Blvd., Alexandria, VA. During winter months, unsafe
conditions on the trails and boardwalks may cause a last minute cancellation of
the walk. Questions should be directed to Park staff during normal business
hours at (703) 768-2525.
