This morning's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk produced some
interesting sightings, and some interesting absences. Twenty-five birders
gathered at the Huntley parking lot and reveled in the ethereal music of a few
Wood Thrushes before we set out. Some of our standout identifications today
included a pair of Wild Turkeys, several Wood Warblers including two Tennessee
Warblers, and a couple of Warbling Vireos. Noted for their nonappearance this
morning were any species of Sparrow, Shorebird, or Gull.
