It was hot and muggy for this morning's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning
Birdwalk. Nineteen birders made up our party, and 58 species were identified.
Our highlights included a Yellow-throated Warbler, we think three Hooded
Merganser families, a pair of Osprey fishing in the central pond, with one
dropping its catch and going back for more. Our typical summer residents have
settled in: Acadian Flycatchers, Red-eyed Vireos, Swainson's and Wood
Thrushes, and a few sandpipers.
