More than 25 birders took part in today's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning
Birdwalk. We tallied 48 species with one or twointeresting highlights. We
spotted all 7woodpecker species found at Huntley. This doesn't happen often,
and is consideredthe indicator of a great birding day by the core of regulars
on the walk. As theseason progresses, more ducks begin to gather on the
centralwetland. Today, our FOS Green-winged Teal was seen, anda Pintail and a
Gadwall were mixed in with the ever present Mallards. Canada Goose 116
