Due to icy trails and a prediction of cold temperatures and wind, the walk
tomorrow morning at Burke Lake is cancelled.
As of last Saturday there were still things of interest on the lake,
including red-necked grebes, red-breasted merganser, buffleheads, ruddy
ducks, scaup, horned grebe including one in breeding plumage, etc. The
eagle nest is occupied. Scoping from the marina and the dock just to the
south gave good looks in case you are inclined to try it on your own.
