Friday, June 22, 2012: Victoria Cooper and I were watering the new trees at
17th Farmers' Market this morning beginning at 6 am. Around 7:30 am, I
heard a familiar screech or begging cry of a young Peregrine Falcon. I
looked up at the James Monroe building, the tallest building west of 17th
Street and saw the adult and young falcon circling.the building. It was
reassuring to know that flight lessons were in progress!
