Hello VA-Birders -

I am working on research aspects of Black Vulture management at Dutch Gap and have 2 information requests of you. First, I am would like to assemble the locations of known roosts of Black Vultures in Virginia. I am looking for specific locations where Black Vultures roost over night and the associated areas where they loaf first thing in the morning. Most likely, the daytime loafing areas are more visible. The ideal data would be lat/long locations obtained from GPS. Alternatively, a location that I can look up with online mapping tools (e.g., google maps) would be good.
Second, I would like to remind anyone that observes a Black Vulture that has been tagged to report the tag either to me (aduerr@xxxxxx) or to the Virginia Game and Inland Fisheries website (preferred). http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/wildlife/dutch-gap-black-vulture-management/ We placed orange tags with 3 digit numbers on the wings of 100 vultures. A few vultures were also tagged a couple of years ago with white (now appearing yellow) tags with 3 letters.

Thank you for all of your help!
