After low migrant activity at Riverbend Pk. on Friday and Saturday mornings,
this Sunday morning looked like it was to be another low, until about 7:30 AM
when there was a burst of warblers along the Jeffery Road sunlite trees for
the 4 four observers on hand. Only 8 species of warblers were sighted but
numbers of individuals was impressive. The species seen were: Tennessee,
Nashville, Northern Parula, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Blackburnian, American
Redstart,
and Common Yellowthroat.
Other migrants were Red-breasted Grosbeak, Scarlet Tanagers, Eastern
Wood-Pewees, B-G Gnatcatchers, Great Crested Flycatchers, R-E Vireos, Cedar
Waxwings
and the usual resident birds.
