This afternoon I had my first Rose Breasted Grosbeak of the year at my
sunflower feeder. This is the earliest that I've recorded them since I started
keeping records. I also had an Indigo Bunting feeding on the ground below the
feeders. There were also 26 Goldfinches, 3 Pine Siskens and 5 Chipping
Sparrows. 6 Blue Jays have taken up residence over the last 2 weeks. I've
finally given up hope on the Red Breasted Nuthatches that were around through
May last year.
