While waiting to flag down some friends who were coming to Christmas dinner at
my parents' house in Halifax County outside of South Boston, I had a nice time
watching a red-shouldered hawk flying across someone's property and landing on
the telephone wires, giving me a fantastic view! This was on Jones Ferry Road
at the intersection with Cedar Lake Road.
I am so glad we keep binoculars in the car...great Christmas present.
