Saturday May 15 Sue and I were above Sunset Field on the Blue Ridge Parkway
and saw & heard many
of the usual birds for that location including blue-headed vireos,
black-throated blue warblers, redstarts, chestnut-sided warblers, Canada
warblers, etc., but also we also saw & heard three least flycatchers
chasing each other around. If anyone is interested they were on the road to the
radar tower above the first big set of rocks. Please note that the road has
deep ruts and care must be used if you decide to travel over them. The birds
were about 150 yards above the first ruts.
